New York, NY, September 2019 - FERDA AutoSport by QSR Racing has entered the Spa500 in an Audi RS3 LMS. With an all-American lineup who boast a wide range of racing experience in sprint, endurance and rally, the team is showing up with a result in mind. In 2016, the FERDA boys wentbar downskis in the VLN series at the Nurburgring. After crushin’ sandos together in Stuttgart, the boys mixed a batch and realized how great the sports car racing culture is overseas. Drivers Jon Miller, Chris Allen and Lance Bergstein went for a tilly at the Silverstone 24Hin 2017. It started out as a great day for hay, but unfortunately, that race ended with a mechanical failure just past the halfway point.
In 2018, Miller finished P2 at the Spa 12 Hour in the GT4 class with RHC Jorgensen/Strom and Lance Bergstein was on the Podium in the 991 Cup class at the COTA 24. The duo are looking forward to rejoining Chris Allen and addingRamanaLagemann to the roster for the Spa500. Ramana brings a long history of high level rally and sports car racing background to the group.Lagemann is anex ProDrive Subaru Rally Driver, and with his addition to the team, the boys are aiming for that W and to take the Nations Cup Trophy back stateside.
Reached for comment, Miller offered his perspective: “Spa is one of the greatest tracks on the planet and this group of drivers is gonna give a Hundy P, rain or shine. We’re partnered with an experienced local team, that combined with our previous experience at the track and with the TCR platform we’re excited to be a part of the inaugural Spa500. This is a roadie for us, but Lance and I have both been top cheddar here before. We left room in our luggage to bring back some waffles, chocolates and trophies.”
Bergstein added: “We’re not afraid to go tarps off against the local snipers. Between my Fun Cup experience and the countless hours on iRacing until my sweetie unplugsthe WiFi, I’ve never felt more ready for a race. Personally, I’m looking forward to getting back in the TCR car after spending some time in GT4 and Porsche Cup cars. We’ve got a strong team with a great group of drivers. The FERDA AutoSport boy are ready for a good old fashioned Donney Brook. Pitter Patter.”
